The Lathams Road Upgrade project involved a 2.5km duplication and widening of Lathams Road from two lanes to four lanes between Oliphant Way and Frankston-Dandenong Road, including a new bridge over the Mornington Peninsula Freeway and widening and tie-in to the Eastlink entry and exit ramps to Oliphant Way. The road is a main arterial for commercial and public transport connection from the industrial hub in Dandenong to the Peninsula. Construction of the bridge increased vehicle access lanes to and from the Peninsula Link Toll-Way to reduce commute times and traffic congestion.
